For the duration of San Francisco’s Shelter in Place order, in compliance with the City’s orders and at the direction of the relevant property owners, Urban Sprouts Sites are only open to pre-approved programming, events, visitors, and volunteers.

While on an Urban Sprouts site, the following rules must be strictly observed:

  • As ordered through the most recent City Mandate, “Social Distancing” is to be observed on site at all times, as defined:

    • Maintaining at least six-foot physical distancing from individuals who are not part of the same household or living unit;

    • Frequently washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or using hand sanitizer that is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as effective in combating COVID-19;

    • Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or fabric or, if not possible, into the sleeve or elbow (but not into hands);

    • Avoiding all social interaction outside the household when sick with a fever or cough.

  • Anyone who is currently sick, has exhibited COVID-19 symptoms in the past two weeks, or has had contact with someone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms in the past two weeks may not enter an Urban Sprouts site.

  • Wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water before entering a site and immediately after.

  • Avoid using or touching any communal items as possible including tools, equiptiment, clothing and surfaces.

    • If handling anything that might be touched by another person while onsite, wash hands before and after handling, and disinfect the item.

  • Be mindful of handling your cell phone or other personal items that could carry or transmit the virus. Clean personal items that are exposed the same way you would treat washing your hands ( i.e. if unwashed hands touch personal items, clean items before handling with clean hands).

  • Staff are encouraged to wear personal gloves and masks/face covering while on site. Everyone is required to wear a mask/face covering if more than 1 person is on site, when harvest or distributing food, when interacting with the public or when in a confined space with another person (ie car, office, kitchen, etc.)
